SORI - Headphone Stand

Named for the curve of a katana blade, the arc a sword takes from tang to tip. SORI is a single ribbed ribbon folded into one continuous sweep, rising from a coiled base to a cantilevered arm with no joints, no brackets and nothing bolted on.

The fine vertical ribbing runs the full length of the form, catching light along every crest and dropping shadow into every valley, so the piece shifts as you move past it. Printed in iridium gold, a finish that reads closer to brushed metal than plastic.

The top arm is shaped to cradle a headband without pressure points, holding your headphones off the desk and in view rather than dumped in a drawer.
